Alé Ruiz

Work Schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays | 8:30am- 4:30pm; Wednesdays Remote; Thursdays and Fridays | 8:30am - 4:30pm

Alé Ruiz (she/they/ella) is the MOSAIC Coordinator  at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), where they lead Heritage and Identity Month programming, support student leadership development and oversee the Mentorship Community Program. Since joining the UCCS community in 2015 as a student, Alé has served in a variety of campus roles, giving them a deep understanding of the student experience and the challenges many students face while navigating higher education. 

As a first-generation college graduate, bilingual speaker, and proud Latine professional from Los Angeles, California. She brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. She is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where students feel a sense of belonging, can explore their identities, and build meaningful connections across cultures and communities. 

Alé earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish from UCCS in 2019 and a master's degree in Sociology in 2025. Her interests include social justice, identity development, intersectionality, immigration, and cross-campus collaborations. Through her work, Alé strives to empower students with the confidence, resources and support they need to better navigate their college journey.
