MOSAIC Mentorship Community

Established in 2023, the purpose of the MOSAIC mentorship community is to contribute directly to persistence, retention, and completion rates for students, with specific attention on underrepresented student populations, at UCCS. These retreats aim to address the navigation gap impacting students' persistence by strengthening community, affirming identity, and cultivating dynamic leaders. Students that participate in the community are paired with a peer mentor (typically a Junior or Senior), get access to the mentorship community Canvas page, join bi-weekly study halls, get involved in volunteering, and are invited to social events throughout the semester.

The MOSAIC mentorship community accepts 60 students each semester.

Registration for fall 2026 mentorship will be open from August 24 - September 13, 2026.

Questions can be directed to Alé Ruiz, MOSAIC Coordinator, at aruiz5@uccs.edu or (719) 255 - 3319.
