UCCS Scholarships

Below are some of the UCCS-specific scholarships that are open to undocumented, DACA, and ASSET students. You may qualify for more or fewer scholarships than what are listed here depending on other factors.

To see which ones you qualify for, visit the UCCS Scholarship Application located in your myUCCS student portal, or contact the UCCS Scholarships office.

The scholarship application opens every academic year on December 1st.

UCCS Student Relief Fund

The UCCS Student Relief Fund provides need-based awards for UCCS students who are not eligible for federal or state financial aid and have graduated from a high school or received a GED within the United States. DACA and ASSET students are particularly encouraged to apply and will receive preference. For more information click here or scroll to the bottom of this page.

  • To be considered for this relief fund, you must complete a physical or online copy of the FAFSA.

    Although students will be rejected for federal aid, the form allows the Office of Financial Aid to determine a student’s financial need. For more information on how to fill out the FAFSA, contact the Office of Financial Aid or click here.
UCCS Chancellor’s Leadership Class (CLC) Scholarship

CLC is a highly selective undergraduate honors program designed to develop effective leaders. Through coursework, community service, skill building, and mentoring, students have the opportunity to enhance their leadership abilities. High school seniors must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA to be eligible. College students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and at least two full years left in college to be eligible. Admission to the program is paired with a $4,000 per year Chancellor's Leadership Program Scholarship.

UCCS Honors Program Scholarship

The UCCS Honors Program serves rigorously trained students who share a desire to become intentional learners. Participation carries a scholarship award of $1,000 per school year, renewable for up to four years. Students must be entering freshmen with an ACT score of 26 or above or an SAT score of 1300 or above; and a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or above.

UCCS LIVE Leadership Scholarship

Open to incoming first year freshmen, the Launching Integrity, Values and Excellence (LIVE) Leadership Program combines co-curricular training, mentorship and applied campus leadership experience with an emphasis on civic engagement. Admission to the Program is paired with a four year, $1,000 per year LIVE Leadership Scholarship. 

UCCS Kane Family Scholarship

The Kane Family Foundation awards high-achieving Colorado residents the full cost of tuition, fees, and books for up to four years. Qualifying students must have a 3.5 high school GPA and show consistent, long term, extracurricular involvement.
