About the MOSAIC Office at UCCS

student event in the MOSAIC Office Space

The MOSAIC Office, established in 2003, is a student advocated support service designed to cultivate the holistic development of students at UCCS. All UCCS students can expect ongoing programs, trainings and workshops, leadership development, intentionally designed resources, and active advising from the full-time staff. The office contributes to strengthening the UCCS campus climate by collaborating with students in advancing equity at UCCS.

We encourage you to explore our web pages to learn more about getting involved and becoming a part of the Mountain Lion Family! Hope to see you soon and don't hesitate to get in contact with any of the staff to support you on your collegiate journey and beyond.

The MOSAIC Office has historically offered programs for all students to engage in community building, ongoing education, and skill building for a successful academic experience. Additionally, the full-time staff have expertise working with populations such as first-generation college students, students of color, LGBTQ+ students, low-income students, DACA and ASSET students, and students with disabilities.

We offer student employment opportunities, practicum hours, and a variety of ways to volunteer in the community. Explore our staff pages to connect and gain support throughout your UCCS journey!

First Generation-Serving Institution Designation

While enrollment of first-generation students is an important first step, it is equally important to ensure that first-generation students receive the support they need to be successful in higher education. CDHE strives to elevate first-generation student experiences and close equity gaps so that first-generation students have similar outcomes (in retention and graduation rates) as their counterparts. In future years, CDHE will showcase additional postsecondary success measures with more data disaggregation so that the success of persistence and completion rates of first-generation students (and other student populations) can be compared across Colorado institutions of higher education.
