President's Fund For Student Diversity
President's Fund for Student Diversity
The Multicultural Office for Student Access, Inclusiveness, and Community (MOSAIC) and the Associate Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusiveness invite proposals for funding from the CU President's Fund for Student Diversity. The Presidents Fund for Student Diversity supports student programs, events, and travel that contribute to the advancement of campus diversity efforts at the University of Colorado in accord with the UCCS Diversity Strategic Plan. Funds awarded to qualifying student groups or their members are intended to supplement funding obtained through fundraising and financial support (i.e. SGA, department support, etc.).
Eligible activities include but are not limited to:
-
Diversity related exhibits, performances, productions, or workshops.
-
Celebrations designed to enhance the university community's knowledge, awareness, and appreciation of a broad range of diverse cultures.
-
Travel funds to promote student networking, professional development, and participation at relevant state, regional, or national conferences.
-
Bringing diversity related visiting scholars/artists/lecturers to campus.
Requirements
-
Students must be registered and in good standing with the University and the Student Life Department prior to being considered for funding.
-
Full consideration for funding will be given to student groups who provide well-written proposals that foster collaboration and demonstrate the greatest impact in advancing diversity, inclusiveness, and community at UCCS.
-
Proposed expenses must be reasonable and well documented. Funds are limited and will be allocated carefully to provide broad support for student initiatives.
-
A written report about your club/organization's event must be submitted to MOSAIC by the end of the current semester. The report will share information on program outcomes, participation and accounting for expenditures. We are excited to hear what your club/organization's event/travel went and specifically how President's Funds for Student Diversity impacted the outcome.
-
Award recipients that do not follow the program requirements will be required to pay back expended funds and WILL be denied future funding from the Presidents Funds for Student Diversity.
