Other Options

We understand that undocumented/ DACA/ ASSET students from low-income households may face a lot of challenges in trying to finance their college education because they are not eligible for federal financial aid and because there are limited scholarships that they are eligible for. Below are a couple of alternative options to help you pay for college.

 

Differed Payment Plans

UCCS offers monthly auto-deduction payment plans to help pay their educational expenses to students. For more information, please click here.

Loans

Short-Term Loans at UCCS

Short term loans are small, one-time loans issued by UCCS. They are open to any student at UCCS, regardless of immigration status. The loan is requested by visiting the Office of Financial Aid and the check is issued by the Student Financial Services/Bursar's Office. For more information about this type of loan, click here.

Private Loans

You may be eligible for some private or alternative loans through private lenders (like your bank). Private loans are credit based and often have different lending criteria than government lending programs. For more information about applying to private loans, click here.
